ECCO will continue to develop branded space in 2014. ASIA ECCO enjoys a strong premium brand position across most markets in Asia, where the major driver continues to be the Chinese market. ECCO and its Chinese partners opened 62 new shop-in-shops, bringing the total to 769. In addition, there are now more than 180 ECCO shops in China and across Asia. ECCO’s activities in Japan developed well, and the business is profitable and growing securely, aided by the launch of e-commerce in 2013. In Australia, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Denmark honoured ECCO’s activities with HRH Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honour, and the Diploma of the Danish Export Association for promoting Danish products abroad. The medal was presented by HRH Crown Prince Frederik and HRH Crown Princess Mary to Morten Lauge Jensen, General Manager ECCO Shoes Pacific. ECCO Annual Report 2013 23
